Catch up with FriFran recipes and news! 11 June 2017

Well, summer has been and gone and we haven’t even got to mid-summer yet! I’m only slightly concerned that this summer will be yet another wash out. I like to get out and about and won’t let a bit of lashing rain and wind stop me.

Anyway, hard landscaping continues in the garden… Slow but steady. We are starting to level the area next.

Lots of you have downloaded my uber-cool, old-school, recipe cards and other free resources and feedback has been great. Thank you! Keep it coming!!!

This week on FriFran I have published….

One of my all-time favourite soup recipes: Carrot and Lemon Soup. The light, velvety texture and summer flavour takes you somewhere very special indeed. The deliciousness coupled with carrots being super seasonal – and therefore super cheap – makes this soup a winner. This coming from someone (me) who normally can’t stand cooked carrots is nothing short of incredible. I served this at a fancy dinner party this week and it went down very well indeed!!!

Keeping with the theme of super seasonal recipes I also published my Elderflower Cordial recipe. Elderflowers are everywhere at the moment. The light, floral, almost overwhelming, scent is unmistakable and takes you on a short-cut to summer daydreams. Elderflower Cordial is super easy to make and because you forage the flowers, it is super cheap too. You can use Elderflower Cordial with still or sparkling water for a refreshing pick-me-up or… use it in a cocktail… Elderflower G&T… Elderflower Margarita… Elderflower Mojito… You get the idea!

FriFran Resource Library news…

Last week I uploaded my best (even if I say so myself!) free resource to date. An uber-cool, old-school, set of gluten-free | vegan | + plus recipe cards. The recipes are exclusive to the download!!! I LOVE them! The recipe cards are so great. They really make me smile. My Mum had a huge collection of recipe cards when we were young and I used to spend hours (and hours) reading them. There were some very strange recipe ideas in there (Duck Viking or Economical Pizza anyone?). I inherited the cards and the FriFran recipe cards are a gluten-free | vegan | + plus homage to the 1960s recipe cards.

The FriFran gluten-free | vegan | + plus recipe card set will give you a whole weekend (four recipes per day!!!) of exclusive, fabulous, Italian recipes. All you need to do is print the cards (on card – double sided). And ta da!

If you want to check out a photos of the recipes cards they are pinned to the top of the FriFran Facebook Page.

The FriFran free e-book: 10 Dishes in Under 30 Minutes is still available for download along with all the free resources.

Download all the free resources via the FriFran Resource Library. All FriFran recipes are quick and easy gluten-free | vegan | + plus. If you want to sign up to access EVERYTHING – you can sign up here.

I promised you the Resource Library will grow and grow over time and it is taking shape. Do tell me your thoughts on the recipe cards, e-book and other resources and do tell me if there any other titles or ideas you would like to see? I would love to hear from you!

And finally…

I’m getting stuck in to social media – come and join me on the links below!!!

Have a wonderful, fulfilled, week! COME ON summer!!!

My Favourite Gluten-Free Vegan Autumn Treats

My Favourite Gluten-Free, Vegan Autumn Treats are mostly fruit and pumpkin based. This is because fruit is soooo good in autumn. I love treats!!! I don’t have treats very often, but when produce is so good it is hard not to make the most of the bounty.
