In-Season Asparagus – Keep it Simple

Pan Fried Asparagus with Olive Oil and Lemon

Asparagus is here. In-season asparagus is incredible. For many reasons. It is a magical crop that takes a few years to reach its peak and carry on delivering, it can turn your wee green and make it smell odd (in some people with that genetic predisposition)! So far so brilliant.

I find that keeping it simple with such great crops is the key. Lightly cook with as few ingredients as possible allows the in-season asparagus to shine. Pan Fried Asparagus with Olive Oil and Lemon does just this. This is a great accompaniment to a simple salad such as Warm Pear Salad or it is also great served with Gluten Free, Vegan Quiche
