Simple, Easy, Gluten-Free, Vegan Food Recipes are the basis of great cooking and form the foundation of a wealth of dishes. I am all about keeping it simple and often simple is also the easiest and the cheapest too!!!

These recipes all have less than five main ingredients.

Why Simple?

Why not? Simple does not mean that is does not taste good. Sometimes simple is all you want or all you need. If you are a little bit under the weather simple is usually exactly what you need.

Simple usually works and there is no need to over complicate cooking and baking if you don’t need to – keep it simple. 🙂

Here are my current favourite Simple, Gluten-Free, Vegan Food Ideas. All of them have less than five main ingredients, are super easy to make and delicious!!!

Banana, Peanut Butter and Almond Smoothie

Perfect Millet

Millet is no longer the preserve of budgies. Much under rated and under consumed Perfect Millet is a revelation. Easy to make, light, delicate and nutritious. Millet is the staple of much of the world. Light but able to cope with the richest and heaviest of mains millet is a fantastic simple side that belies its value in the gluten-free, vegan kitchen.

Perfect Quinoa

Wherever you might use rice Perfect Quinoa can more than fill rice’s boots. Nutty, light, and a complete protein quinoa is a great side for anything from curry to chilli and beyond.

Toasted Rice Topping

With only one ingredient this Toasted Rice Topping is not strictly a recipe. However, it is a store cupboard essential. It adds smokey, nuttiness and crunch to any Asian dish. Especially fabulous with tofu dishes!

Buckwheat Pancakes

With only two ingredients (unless you count water) Buckwheat Pancakes are simplicity itself. Don’t think for a minute that simple means bland. These pancakes are nutty, light and amazing with sweet or savoury fillings.
