With all my gastric problems, the morning is the time when I feel at my worst, this makes breakfast difficult sometimes. By the time my stomach is ready for breakfast it is usually mid-morning. Plus I often started work before 0730 so time was not with me of a morning. Breakfast and me were not great friends, I ate it but I didn’t like it!

Breakfast is important because, as the name suggests, you are breaking your fast. Your first meal of the day and you need sustenance to start your day and get your body moving and functioning for the day to come. So, you need fuel, nutrition and hydration. You don’t need to get that from just one breakfast item – you can get that from several breakfast components.

Carrot and Ginger Juice – No Juicer Required is bright orange. Carrot juice is my favourite juice of all time. No need for apple here. I never really understood why apples are always added to carrot or beetroot juice. They taste amazing the way they are and definitely do not need sweetness. Again this is great made the day before. Juice is not enough of a breakfast on its own this is definitely part of a breakfast (with muffins?).
